Mutual Recognition of Professional designation between HKII - CFS and HKRFP

The Society has signed an agreement with Hong Kong Institute of Investors that mutual recognition between holders of HKII - Certified Financial Strategic (CFS) and HKRFP on September 25 2005 as follows:

Mutual Recognition between ICRM - Risk Management designation
|
|
On 19 December 2003, the Chairman of the Institute of Crises and Risk Management Limted "ICRM", Mr. Fred Lee and the President of the Society of Registered Financial Planners ("HKRFP"), Dr. Sidney Sze signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement between the ICRM and the HKRFP. The agreement gives members of both bodies reciprocal membership rights of the other Organization at the same status.For further information about ICRM designations, please visit ICRM's web site.
HKRFP and ICRM Reciprocal arrangement:
1. Offer a 2-month period (1 January 2004 to 28 February 2004) for the FULL members of both Society/Institute to apply for Direct Entry/Admission as full member of HKRFP and CRP, but the final approval membership will be evaluated by the individual council/board of director at their discretion.
2. Thereafter in order to qualify as full member of the other institute, members of HKRFP and ICRM will have to take the following :-
Full Member of HKRFP joining ICRM as a CRP Member by taking

- Crisis Management
- Professional Code of Standards and Business Ethics
Full Member of CRP joining HKRFP as Full Member by taking
- Investment Planning
- Tax Planning

Mutual Recognition of Financial Planning Qualificatios between HKSI and HKRFP
|
|
The Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI) and HKRFP have announced the mutual recognition of financial planning qualifications between the two organizatios on 10th December 2004. HKRFP members have granted exemption from five (5) out of eight (8) modules of the HKSI's Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning and Advising which is recognised by Securities and Futures Commission, Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority and the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance. In reciprocal, holders of HKSI Professional Diploma in Financial Markets are granted exemption from four (4) out of the five (5) examination papers of HKRFP's professional diploma in financial planning program.

University degree for RFP graduates - Bolton Institute BA (Hons)

Graduates of the Society of Registered Financial Planners (RFP) can be admitted with Advanced Standing into the Second Semester of Year Two of Bolton Institute's BA (Honours) Business Studies Degree delivered in Hong Kong in partnership with the Centre for Educational Development. The U.K. Privy Council has approved Bolton Institute to use the title as University.
Prior to entering the Third and Final Year of the Degree, RFP Graduates will study

Reciprocal Recognition between The ITAccountant Association and HKRFP

The Society has signed an reciprocal recognition with ITAccountant Association that HKRFP members are qualified to be ITAA member by completing the following subjects of ITAA QS (Qualification Scheme), other subjects are exempted:
ITAC2: Management Accounting & Decision-making
ITAC3: Enterprise Computing & Project Management
ITAC4: IT Environment for Enterprise
Members of ITAA joining HKRFP are required to sit for the following examinatsions:
